Charlotte Athletics Analytics Internship Program
The Charlotte Athletics Analytics Internship Program (NinerStats) is one of only two programs in the country. This is where CLT undergraduate and graduate students provide analytical support to 18 of our 19 team sports. Students receive credit hours during this internship as well as report to the coaching staff of the sport they are interning with. Since the inception of the program, several alumni from this program have gone out to work for professional organizations like the Philadelphia Phillies, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Tigers, Charlotte FC, Boston Bruins, Nashville SC, CBS Sports, USA Baseball and more!

The Charlotte 49ers Athletics Department & UNC Charlotte’s Sports Analytics Program are now accepting applications for the NinerStats Internship Program. Each athletic team will have one or more interns assigned to them, with projects supported by the coaching staff of the team that you will be interning with. Interns will begin in the Fall ’25 semester. Charlotte & UVA are the only two schools in the country that have this type of analytics internship with their athletics program. Students will receive three credit hours for completing the internship. Students will also go through an interview process before being accepted or denied.
