Requirements for declaring the Sports Analytics Major:
Current Charlotte students who are in another major on campus and are interested in pursuing Sports Analytics must meet the following criteria:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
- Be in good academic standing.
If you are a current student at Charlotte interested in declaring the Sports Analytics program, you are welcome to submit the following form. Students should be aware that their major will not be updated until we kick off the 2025-2026 academic catalog in August. This program is only recommended for current students who are on track to graduate May 2027 or later. Students who are graduating earlier than May 2027, should consider the certificate program.
Sports Analytics Certificate Program:
Students who are interested in declaring the certificate program can submit the form below. Students pursuing the certificate program must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of an introduction to programming course with an earned grade of a C or higher. Can include INFO 2130, ITSC 1212 or ITSC 1213.
- Completion of a Statistics course with an earned grade of a C or higher. Can include STAT 1220, STAT 1222, STAT 1221 or STAT 2221
- Cumulative GPA of a 2.0 or better
